Tamara Winsor




Tamara Winsor, a textile-based mixed media artist from Hubley, Nova Scotia, graduated from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in 2017 with a degree in Textile Design. Additionally, she holds a diploma in Interior Decorating obtained in 2012.

Since graduating, Tamara's artistic journey has flourished, establishing her as a passionate artist. In 2016, she founded Oake Living, a line of handmade goods featuring botanically crafted items. Her artistic process involves foraging for local natural dyes, utilizing ethically sourced fibers, and preserving regional foliage and flowers. In March 2023, Tamara had the honor of being a guest artist at Tides Art Gallery in Kentville,NS where she showcased her creations to a broader audience.

Settling in the picturesque Annapolis Valley, she finds inspiration from the surrounding landscapes.

With a deep appreciation for local farmers and their dedication to nature, Tamara eagerly looks forward to connecting and collaborating with them through the Flaxmobile Slow Textiles and Fabrication Project.
