Larissa Korol

Larissa Korol is passionate about working with novel materials and methods for architectural exploration. Her interests are in biomaterials, in particular biofibers. This interest stemmed from a personal practice in fiber crafts like sewing, crochet and weaving. Larissa continually seeks to discover and work with low carbon, natural building materials in new ways aided by digital fabrication. She is passionate about creating work that makes people think about alternative material futures for the built environment. Larissa has a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Dalhousie University, and a Diploma in Architectural Technology from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.  Larissa is currently based in Kjiputuk (Halifax).
