Kit Holden-Ada is a multidisciplinary settler artist and craftsperson of
Scottish/Irish/English ancestry born and raised on the prairies (Treaty 2) and currently
based in Kjiputktuk, Mi’kma’ki (Halifax, NS). They studied at NSCAD University from
2002-2009 with a focus on ceramics, metalsmithing and sound and have been
producing a line of handmade adornment, Fervour’s Own Jewellery, since 2011.
Alongside this work they maintain slow engagement with an interdisciplinary art practice
that favours collaboration and centers art making as an embodiment practice. Their
work integrates curious explorations of (queer) relationality, lineage, discipline and play,
often in close relationship with the body and the elements.
