Kamila Orbegoso

Kamila Jade Orbegoso (born October 21, 1995) is a Canadian-Peruvian multi-disciplinary artist. Her practice revolves around textiles and ceramics. She started her university studies with a psychology program and is interested in the effectiveness of art in the process of healing. For this reason she decided to put a pause on her psychology studies to explore her love for making and enrolled in a bachelor program at NSCAD University . She uses her hands to explore different materials, from fibers to clay and engages regularly in the process of learning a new skill. What motivates her practice is the process more than the outcome.
